Perinatal mental health disorders (PMHDs) are mental health conditions that occur during pregnancy or the postpartum period. They can affect birthing and adoptive parents and may include depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma-related disorders, and bipolar disorder. In rare cases, individuals may experience postpartum psychosis, a serious psychiatric emergency.
Approximately 1 in 5 women experience a mental health condition during pregnancy or the postpartum period. Depression and anxiety are among the most common perinatal mental health concerns, and non-birthing partners can experience them as well.

I take a warm, collaborative approach to therapy. We'll work together to better understand what's happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop tools that support the life you want to create.
Our work may include exploring your thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences, and the expectations you have of yourself. We'll make space for the parts of you that may feel overwhelmed, anxious, uncertain, or disconnected—and work toward greater self-compassion, confidence, and clarity.
I believe therapy should be tailored to you. Depending on your needs and goals, I may draw from approaches such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindful Self-Compassion, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other evidence-based interventions.
